Sometimes we walk through life distracted by all the things happening around us that we aren’t actually living. We get so caught up that we forget a very important detail, that life itself is a gift. It seems we tend to fall into a deep, dark hole and wonder if we will ever find the way out. Then, usually unexpected, someone walks in and turns your whole world around. You feel you’ve wasted so much time and have missed out on so much, yet really it’s your second chance to live every moment of life to the fullest.
Kate and Trey are such rare gems! They have been through so much together. Trey would even tell you himself that when Kate walked into his life, she saved him. Kate would say the exact same thing about Trey.
I encourage you to take a closer look as you scroll through these images. There is so much story behind everything you see. You’ll notice the number 22 tattooed on Trey’s hand. To a passerby-er, it wouldn’t seem odd or anything extraordinary. In fact at first glance, you might not even notice it. However, this number is significant to their love story. Kate was 22 years old when they started dating, but the number 22 represents so much more than age. Trey felt he wasted so much of his life before they got together. He wish he had more time. Kate wanted Trey to know that he has just as much life and opportunity left as she did, so she told him “If I’m 22, you’re 22!” … Okay if that doesn’t give you all The Notebook feels, I question who you are as a person.
They are each other’s cheerleaders and it was so beautiful to be able to document their love! I cannot wait to photograph their intimate wedding in Colorado in June!
